Catherine Callaghan was called to the bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1987 after obtaining her LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 1985. Catherine also holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto (St. Michael’s College) 1980.
Catherine practices in the areas of corporate, commercial, estate and real estate law. Her Corporate Commercial practice includes incorporations, corporate reorganizations, commercial contracts, leases, shareholder agreements and business acquisitions. Her Estate practice includes Estate Planning and Administration, Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Henson Trust planning for parents with a special needs child.
Catherine is a past Director of York Support Services Network and the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce, and is a founding member of the Business Women’s Networking Association of York Region. Most recently Catherine served on the executive of the St. John’s Finance Committee and the York Region Law Association.
Catherine has lived in Newmarket since 1991 with her husband Tom and their four children.
