Practicing law since 1978, Ken Hill has always restricted his practice to Civil Litigation, Municipal and Administrative Law. He frequently appears before all levels of Ontario courts. His litigation practice focuses on estate, employment, real property and other commercial claims and disputes.
In the area of Municipal Law, Ken has represented several municipalities and conservation authorities as well as developers and ratepayers groups.
He has frequently appeared before a variety of administrative tribunals, notably in the areas of environmental and planning regulation and has represented several charitable and not-for-profit organizations and acts as agent for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer in Estate and Trust matters.
He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the York Region Law Association and the ADR Institute. Ken is a Past President of the York Region Law Association, has served on the Regional Bench and Bar Committee of Central East Region, and assisted the courts by conducting Superior Court Pre-trial Conferences during a period of a shortage of judges in the Region. He has served on the executive of numerous charitable organizations and received the Chair’s Award from the Town of Newmarket for outstanding dedication and volunteerism in the community.
Ken earned his Certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University and offers his services as a mediator in conjunction with his practice at Hill Hunter Losell Law Firm LLP.
